What it means to be a local host
Know Your Surf Area Inside Out
You're already familiar with your local surf spots like the back of your hand. It's all about sharing in-depth knowledge, from navigating the area to understanding the intricacies of forecasting and its impact on local conditions. You'll guide surfers on the best options based on skill levels and where to catch waves safely.
Choose Your Commitment
Upon receiving a booking request, promptly coordinate with the customer to schedule a convenient date and time for the consultation, aligning with both your availabilities.
Prepare for Your Call
You'll be scheduled for a 1-hour video call. Listen to your guest's questions, and if you don't have all the answers at hand, no worries. You can provide the information later. Don't fret if you're not fully prepared; with experience, you'll become more confident.
Getting Paid and Pricing
In this marketplace, you set your price based on your experience and local knowledge. To get started, there's a minimum price of $90. We recommend not starting too high until you've gathered positive reviews. Our commission is just 30% of your final set price.
